Having recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of their seminal album ‘Sheet Music’ with a 28-date sell-out UK tour, art-pop pioneers 10cc are to embark on a 13-date ‘Greatest Hits and More!!’ tour in spring 2017, including a performance at the legendary London Palladium. The performance at the Palladium will be a first for the band, joining illustrious acts such as Coldplay and Simple Minds, who are both set to perform at the venue in 2017.
Purveyors of some of the greatest pop records of the 20th century, 10cc has sold more than 15 million albums in the UK and 30 million worldwide. Noted for their studio polish, virtuoso musicianship, impeccable vocals and clever lyrics, their style was dubbed ‘art pop’. Led by 10cc co-founder Graham Gouldman, the current live band, which has been together for more than 10 years, features Gouldman on vocals, bass and guitar; Rick Fenn (lead guitar, vocals), Paul Burgess (drums, percussion), Mick Wilson (vocals, guitar, percussion) and Keith Hayman (keyboards, guitar, vocals). Rick and Paul have both worked with 10cc since the mid-‘70s line-up.
Recent high-profile concerts have included the O2, London with Status Quo, the Royal Albert Hall and British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park.
Meanwhile, Graham Gouldman has been receiving particular recognition in the US for his songwriting work with 10cc and the hits he wrote for artistes such as The Hollies (Bus Stop), The Yardbirds (For Your Love) and Herman’s Hermits (No Milk Today). He has been inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame – an arm of America’s National Academy of Music, and awarded Icon status by Broadcast Music Incorporated.

****I’M NOT IN LOVE / DREADLOCK HOLIDAY / THE THINGS WE DO FOR LOVE / RUBBER BULLETS / THE WALL STREET SHUFFLE / I’M MANDY FLY ME / THE DEAN AND 1 / ART FOR ART’S SAKE****
10cc earned critical respect and public acclaim for such singles as Donna (1972), Rubber Bullets (1973), The Dean and I (1973) and Wall Street Shuffle (1974), which showcased the band members’ talents as musicians, singers, songwriters and masters of the studio.
10cc have 11 Top 10 UK singles to their name – including No 1 hits I’m Not In Love (1975) – covered by The Pretenders and Fun Lovin’ Criminals – and Dreadlock Holiday (1978). Others included Art For Art’s Sake (1975) and Good Morning Judge (1977) – which both reached No 5, The Things We Do For Love (1976) and I’m Mandy Fly Me (1976) – both reaching No 6 and Life Is A Minestrone (1975) – No 7.
Such is the enduring nature of their music that movie-makers can’t resist including the band in soundtracks, with I’m Not in Love featuring in Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason and 2014 blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy, while Dreadlock Holiday was used in The Social Network (2010), about the founding of Facebook.
The band continues to work internationally with headline tours in Australia and New Zealand last autumn, a tour of Belgium and Holland in March, dates in Japan and summer shows in Denmark, Norway and Germany.
