AFI reveal brand new track ‘Get Hurt’ / Band to perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live

AFI & STEREOGUM PREMIERE
“GET HURT”

– PERFORMING ON “JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!” JANUARY 18th, AND AT AMOEBA MUSIC IN HOLLYWOOD JANUARY 19th
– AFI (THE BLOOD ALBUM) + NORTH AMERICAN HEADLINING TOUR

– BOTH LAUNCH JANUARY 20th, 2017, SAME DAY AS ‘AFI (THE BLOOD ALBUM)’ RELEASE

With a week to go before the January 20th release of AFI (The Blood Album), AFI has teamed with Stereogum for the premiere of “Get Hurt,” the fourth track to be released in advance of the record, which Stereogum calls “the best thing AFI have done since Sing The Sorrow.”

“Get Hurt” follows the recent Pitchfork premiere of the band’s “Snow Cats” video, the Radio 1 Rock Show premier of ‘Aurelia’ and the Rolling Stone debut of AFI’s “White Offerings” clip. Fans can get new tracks “Aurelia,” “Snow Cats,”  “White Offerings” and “Get Hurt” as instant downloads when pre-ordering AFI (The Blood Album) on iTunes or Amazon.

The multi-platinum-selling quartet (vocalist Davey Havok, guitarist Jade Puget, bassist Hunter Burgan and drummer Adam Carson) will be performing lead single “Snow Cats” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on January 18th, to be followed by a special in-store performance at Amoeba Music in Hollywood, CA, on January 19th. AFI (The Blood Album) comes out on January 20th, and that night the band will kick off their headlining tour of North America, dubbed “The Blood Tour,” with a sold-out show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles (see itinerary below). Every ticket purchased for select shows on “The Blood Tour” will include a download of AFI (The Blood Album). For more info, please visit the band’s official site, http://afireinside.net/.

AFI (The Blood Album) is the band’s 10th full-length studio album, first for Concord Records, and first to be produced by guitarist Jade Puget, and co-produced by Matt Hyde (Deftones). It’s the follow-up to 2013’s Burials, which hit Top 10 on The Billboard 200. Since the release of 1995’s debut album Answer That and Stay Fashionable, AFI has written and recorded five top ten hit singles, hit No. 1 on The Billboard 200 (with the stunning Decemberunderground), garnered worldwide critical acclaim and amassed a fiercely loyal global following whose members number in the millions.

The band will be over in the UK as main support on the May 2017 Deftones UK headline shows. These will be the bands first UK shows for over 8 years.
All dates with Deftones are:
May 5 – London – Alexandra Palace
May 6 – Manchester – O2 Apollo
May 7 – Glasgow – SECC
