This extra special date will also be the location for a 15 camera shoot for ‘Hedonism Live’ resulting in a DVD release of the same name in the autumn of 2011. This follows Bellowhead’s debut ‘Live at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire’ DVD (2007).
The band’s latest album, ‘Hedonism’, was released by Navigator in October 2010. It was recorded in Abbey Road Studios and produced by the legendary John Leckie. This highly acclaimed album has since gone on to sell a boundary-crossing 40,000 albums and was followed by a sold-out tour of the UK in November.
“This album is clever AND enormous fun” – The Guardian

Winners of an unparalleled 5 x BBC Folk Awards for Best Live Act, Bellowhead have followed in chart-topping St Etienne’s footsteps by becoming Artists in Residence at London’s Southbank Centre, where they have hosted two sell-out New Year’s Eve extravaganzas, as well as making other ‘themed’ appearances.
