Here at Big Feastival HQ, food is who we are and what we live for. As well as some returning favourites, we have some super exciting new names joining the street food line-up this year that we couldn’t wait to share with you.
Sub Cult will be serving their award winning sandwiches throughout the weekend, putting #thesoulinyourroll and no doubt a smile on your face. Our hearts are set on their aged sirloin sub with truffle mayo…say no more. For fried chicken like no other, head to Other Side Fried. We’re talking double breaded boneless thigh and four-hour-smoked honey butter, served in a potato bread bun with crispy bacon and pickles. Yes. Please.
For mouth-wateringly good burgers, Patty & Bun are where it’s at. The insanely popular ‘Ari Gold’ cheeseburger never fails to disappoint. The team at Farang create fresh and vibrant Thai street food with a modern twist. For sweet, salty, spicy and sour deliciousness – this is the place. Other highlights include Breddos Tacos, Made of Dough, 26 Grains and The Cheese Truck.
Dessert-lovers will not be disappointed. The South-East Cakery bake the most beautiful cakes from honeycomb brownies to a triple layer red velvet. British Street Food Award winners of ‘Best Dessert 2015’, Crèma Caravan will be serving us their famous Crème Brûlée, always #BurntToOrder. Other sweet treats include Milo and Hector, Waffle Float and Lickalix.
Take your seat at the table and get up close and personal, as top chefs and experts gather small groups for intimate, hands-on demos, talks and tastings. Learn insider tips and innovative ideas from those in the know and take advantage of this unique opportunity to question our chefs.
We’re beyond excited to be welcoming the lovely Fearne Cotton back to run a table session this summer. Other sessions will be hosted by the Mindful Chef, Clean Beauty Girls, Candice Brown, Antonio Carluccio, Mark Hix and more.
It’s an exciting month for some of our Feastival chefs. Rick Stein has opened his first London restaurant on the river in Barnes with son Jack Stein heading up the kitchen.
Pioneer of London’s high-end barbecue scene, Neil Rankin, is set to open his second Temper restaurant in City of London. A firm member of the Feastival family and master of all things tapas, José Pizarro has opened Little José in Canary Wharf.
Team Big Feastival can’t wait to go and try them all out!
As the summer months approach we are desperate to get into the kitchen and try out some new fresh and healthy recipes. We love this super tasty recipe from Mindful Chef sun-dried tomato & olive cod en papillote. It is so quick to prepare and makes the perfect lighter option for a summer dinner.
If you are interested in learning more about their healthy approach to cooking, they will be running a table session at The Big Feastival this August.
