“What starts out in a classically hazy beach-pop fashion basks in its own vitality, building its way to a sound that’s characteristically more brazen.” – The Line Of Best Fit
Punk Slime Recordings are proud to present their latest signing, the Brighton, UK based quartet Beachtape who’ll introduce themselves with the debut EP Hold Music on September 8. Beachtape’s been around for a few years, self-releasing a few tracks of the best indie rock around via their Soundcloud and Bandcamp pages, and we’re very happy to be presenting the first official track from their debut EP, “Slow”.
“The Brighton four-piece make penning huge melodies seem like child’s play” – DIY
Brighton, UK based Beachtape is Rory Sear, Leo Kenyon, Andy Kemp & Dan Mcauliffe. Originally formed as a DIY recording project by Rory & Leo in 2016, they recruited Andy and Dan to start playing shows after having recorded their first song.
Following a string of early self-released singles the group recorded debut EP Hold Music between bedrooms & mouldy basements at the band members’ homes in Brighton in early 2017.
Recently signed to PNKSLM Recordings, Beachtape will release Hold Music September 8, along with the first single “Slow” which premiered at The Line Of Best Fit August 10.
