In Dynamics are pleased to announce that their debut EP ‘Circle’ will be released on Monday 19th August for free download via bandcamp.
The band will also be releasing a video for second single ‘Running Hands’ in advance of the EP, but for now are sharing this blistering full-band session from Live At The Lab (see below).
Now ready to take their first tentative steps into the limelight, drummer Jack Wrench, his brother Will and front man Beau Boulden are no strangers to long days in the studio and have been knuckled down for the past year working on their first EP proper.
‘Circle’ was recorded with producer Chris Coulter (Arcane Roots, Jumping Ships) across a string of sessions after the band decided to refine their sound into a more focused and powerful strain of British alt-rock that pulsates heartily beneath Boulden’s trademark soaring melodies and angular, slashing riffs.
The EP as a whole gives an impressive overview of just what an undiscovered UK gem this band really are, taking in aspects of pop, alt-rock, indie and post-punk to create an EP bursting with huge sing-a-long choruses that are riddled with melody as well as guts. There’s a knowing honesty and beauty surrounding Boulden’s particular lyrical and vocal delivery that make this band a very exciting prospect indeed, especially for one at such an early stage of their career.
Recent free download ‘Liposuction’ saw them embracing their lighter side, but mainly served as an introduction to ‘Equal Ground’ and ‘Symmetry’ which both show a heavier thread running through In Dynamics that rears its head in the form of towering waves of guitars that crash down on epic three part harmonies.
Single ‘Running Hands’ will precede the EP release accompanied by a video that shows In Dynamics at their most accessible with a Biffy Clyro-tinged melody and stabbing guitar lines culminating in a riot of cymbals, which is already receiving backing from Kerrang TV.
