COASTS UNVEIL NEW SINGLE
‘HEART STARTS BEATING’
RELEASED 10th FEB 2017
via HIGH TIME RECORDS
10th February sees the eagerly anticipated return of COASTS as the UK five-piece deliver their new single ‘Heart Starts Beating’ via High Time Records.
Having made serious strides with their self-titled debut album, COASTS gear up for the release of their second record and the first slice of listening serves up an intense reminder of the ‘trop-poppers’ ability to inject the sound of summer. Complete with soaring melodies, shimmering guitar and a trademark anthemic chorus, COASTS’ ‘Heart Starts Beating’ demonstrates why this band made the transition from local heroes to an internationally acclaimed band.
Forming back in 2011 at Uni in Bristol, COASTS have established a huge fan-base that has seen the band sell-out rooms from New York to Berlin, as well as massive domestic homecomings, including an unforgettable night at Camden’s Roundhouse last year (Feb 2016). Having clocked up millions of streams and over 100,000 sales thanks to singles such as Modern Love, A Rush of Blood, You and Oceans – with the latter two making it onto BBC Radio 1’s B-list – COASTS career has taken them to the very top of the game, including appearances at major festivals such as Coachella, Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds and Lollapalooza.
With only a short break away from the scene, COASTS are set for a huge 2017 which will include extensive touring with a first chance to hear music from the forthcoming album. Although COASTS have enjoyed much success, they’ve had to fight hard to earn it and ‘Heart Starts Beating’ is the perfect ode to what COASTS is all about as frontman Chris Caines explains –
‘The meaning behind the song is pretty straightforward. You should never lose focus of what is most important. There will be moments when you might get distracted or your head might be turned. That’s the struggle I wanted to reveal. We’ve had a tough year where certain things haven’t necessarily gone our way but we’ve held on and we’re stronger than ever. We can’t wait to get going!’
