Communion and XFM are very pleased to announce their partnership in a series of digital-only EP releases. Entitled ‘New Faces‘, the EPs will feature new artists championed by both the label and station
The first release, Volume 1, is released today (22nd July) and is dedicated to the Isle of Sheppey’s Story Books. Following the release of the ‘Too Much A Hunter’ EP through Communion earlier this year, and acclaimed performances at SXSW, Great Escape, and T In The Park, this 4-track EP showcases live session recordings from that release, alongside the heart-wrenching debut single ‘Peregrine’, and a cover of Bjork’s All Is Full Of Love.
‘New Faces Vol. 1’ tracklisting:
Simple Kids (Live at XFM)
As Is Full Of Love (Live at XFM)
Peregrine (Live at XFM)
All Those Arrows (Live at XFM)
The EP is available to buy exclusively through iTunes here for two weeks, and will then be made available to download and stream through all digital outlets.
To mark the release of the first release in this new series, Communion and XFM’s John Kennedy will co-host a club night at London’s Barfly on Tuesday 23rd July, featuring live performances by Story Books, the hotly tipped Nick Mulvey, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Northwich’s Joe Banfi. Tickets.
This latest announcement follows the successful launch of the weekly Communion XFM show earlier this year, hosted by Communion’s Maz Tappuni.
