Diana Gordon has released her new single ‘Woman’, ahead of her debut US TV appearance tonight on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where she will perform the track live with her band.
Born and raised in Queens, New York, Diana Gordon has had a long and successful career as a songwriter, writing hits for the likes of Mary J. Blige and Alicia Keys, and most recently responsible for penning a number of tracks on Beyoncé’s latest album Lemonade – ‘Don’t Hurt Yourself’, ‘Sorry’ and ‘Daddy’s Lessons’ – and the infamous line, “you better call Becky with the good hair” (co-written and co-produced by Gordon). Now she is stepping out on her own, with her new song ‘Woman’, which can be heard below or via streaming services HERE.
‘Woman’ follows in the footsteps of Diana’s first single ‘The Legend Of’, the latter was premiered by The FADER last month HERE.
