DIDIRRI – ‘BLIND YOU’
GENRE – INDIE/FOLK
PLAY LENGTH – 00:2:54
LOCATION – MELBOURNE
RELEASE DATE – MAY 12, 2017
DIDIRRI is a self-described as a “sombre folk dandy” from Warrnambool, who now happily calls Melbourne home.
After completing more than the socially acceptable level of schooling, it didn’t take Didirri long to realise that he wanted something other than ordinary. Presented with his two personal preferences of profession he says; “I either wanted to be a cop or a muso but I lack the discipline to complete paperwork so…”
When performing, his uninhibited lyrics tug on raw exposed nerves while melodies soothe your heart, a consequence of his richly textured vocal style, warm persona and humble upbringing.
Drawing from his own experiences, Didirri crafts a seemingly transparent language. Reluctant to seek shelter beneath traditional arrangements and symmetrical song-writing, his songs cascade the audience to relatable depths, which at only twenty-two, is an accomplishment way beyond his years.
Consider the release of ‘Blind You’ as the beginning of a very exciting upwards hike.
‘Blind You’ will be availble on Spotify and Apple tomorrow, Friday May 12.

For the past six months, Didirri has done it the old fashioned way – by playing gigs and playing gigs and playing gigs. It’s no wonder that he has amassed a sizeable fan base from his live performances alone… Gaining ‘gig fit’ status in the support ranks to artists like Oh Pep!, Jordie Lane, Tash Sultana, Pierce Brothers, and Timberwolf, as well as Woodford Folk Festival.
