JUNE HEADLINE UK TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED
Including JOHN KENNEDY presents The Remedy
at London’s Tooting Tram & Social – Fri 17th June
Hometown show at Manchester Sound Control – Sat 4th June
Manchester’s FLESH continue their rise on the grittier side of the burgeoning guitar scene with the announcement of more live dates including a hometown show at Manchester’s Sound Control and a headline slot at Tooting Tram and Social for John Kennedy (Radio X) presents The Remedy.
The new dates also coincide with official release of latest single ‘GON N DUN’’ on the band’s own label Snotpop Records next month. To celebrate the release date the band have also created an exclusive 90’s rave ‘R Kid Edition’ remix.
‘GON N DUN’ is a kind of hybrid of grunge, rock, rave and beats somewhere in your face between The Prodigy playing guitars and Nirvana sampling breaks. FLESH’s video for GON N DUN oozes their grit and swagger breaking into an Ancoats (Manchester) warehouse to actually shoot the video. The track is recorded in their home studio in Fallowfield, with the single picked up and instantly played on BBC Radio 1 Huw Stephens and Radio X X-posure show which saw them signing up to headline John Kennedy’s Remedy night in London this summer.
Since their fruition 18 months ago, Hazza, Robbie, Cozza and Jon have set out on a search to find a unique sound with tastemakers across the country giving glowing praise with the likes of Steve Lamacq stating they’ve got a “defined idea of what they want to be”. Recording and producing all their tracks themselves, FLESH have been busy building their own studio and rehearsal space keeping true to their DIY ethos.
Since the start of the year FLESH have been busy on the road supporting LA rockers together PANGEA and appeared on BBC 6 Music’s “independent venue week” with Steve Lamacq. The rest of the year seems busier than ever with new headline dates and more music being released soon. Tickets for the band’s headline dates are onsale now:
