New Jersey four-piece The Front Bottoms are delighted to be joining the legendary Blink 182 on their UK arena tour this July. The dates will kick off in Cardiff on July 3 and will see the band play 12 dates in arenas across the UK, finishing with two dates at London’s O2 Arena on July 19 & 20. The announcement follows on from the band’s stomping winter 2016 headline tour, which included an amazing sold-out show at London’s Kentish Town Forum.
The latest music released by the band, “Needy When I’m Needy 7”, has proven to be an instant fan favourite, with tracks like Tighten Up and Joanie sure to garner huge reactions on this latest run of arena shows. Comprised of Brian Sella (Vocals/Guitar), Mat Uychich (Drums), Tom Warren (Bass) and Ciaran O’Donnell (Guitar, Horns, Keyboards) The Front Bottoms started making a name for themselves after the crash of ’08 when American youth found themselves saddled with college loans, unemployment, part-time minimum wage service jobs and the prospect of living at home or in shady situations on twin size mattresses.
TFB got people talking with their first two albums on the Bar/None label- the self-titled debut combined two EPs: Slow Dance To Soft Rock and Grip and Tie (2011) and they followed suit with Talon Of the Hawk (2013). The band then signed to Fueled By Ramen in 2015 and kept true to form with the release of the critically acclaimed third album Back On Top.
When The Front Bottoms play live, they leave everything on stage. They deliver a phenomenal performance wherever they play and word has obviously spread. Every trip to the UK has seen TFB play to bigger and bigger sold out crowds, fans seemingly can’t get enough. You can see for yourself what all the hype is about as one such sold-out show at London’s iconic KOKO in February 2016 was caught on film, check out their unforgettable performance of “Cough It Out” here.
