Northern Ireland’s Hello Casanova to release debut single via London’s Supersonic Media, sounds seemed fuelled by the likes of Blink 182 meets All Time Low. ‘all Be waiting’ is a solid fairly infectous affair, no no ground as such, but with many other more punk oriented Northern Ireland have served up the like of Rudi, The Outcasts indeed even Therapy? and The Undertones sound more full bloodied vocally, dialects and delivery aside, Hello Casanova deliver a worthwhile single.
Hello Casanova are Matt Irwin (rhythm guitar and vocals), Ethan Williamson (lead guitar and vocals), and Martin Miller (drums and percussion).
“The music video, (shot at Wreckless Skatepark in Gorey) features people from the age of 6-26, all skating around and having a great time while we perform,” explains Hello Casanova frontman Matthew Irwin. “Pop punk can be cliché. It can be the same three chords over, and it can be all chorus with the rest filler. We set out to try and give pop punk a different angle – to give all the heart that the genre deserves and to add our own spin on the sound”. As mission statements go many will be nodding in agreement. Positive. 7.8/10.
