I Like Trains have today released their new video. Beacons, is the second single to be released from the band’s widely acclaimed third album ‘The Shallows’ which explores our relationships with technology.
The video is a warning shot against our over reliance on technology. As part 2 of a trilogy, it follows on from Mnemosyne’s portrayal of the analogue 80s into the digital age of the present day.

‘Beacons EP’ sees I LIKE TRAINS further explore the dark possibilies that technology can open up for their music whilst simultaneously plotting humanity’s demise at its hands. Although still very much a product of our time, old habits die hard, the tracks echoing with civilisations lost to progress. The band has also confirmed a couple of changes to their UK tour following the closure of Glasgow’s Captains Rest and Bristol’s Cooler. They will now play at Glasgow Art School and Bristol’s The Exchange. Original Tickets are still valid. Supports are also confirmed with Post War Glamour Girls following up from their Leeds/ Reading performances and KYTEw, who are preparing their new album, both playing a handful of dates.
