Wesley Fuller unveils his debut track for 1965 Records.
Wesley Fuller could well be the baby face of local pop in 2016. Surrounded by a telling tuft of ‘70s curls and backed by a troupe of Melbourne’s brightest players – Liam Hopkins (lead guitar), Brendan West (bass) & Brett Wolfenden (drums) – it won’t be an easy face to forget.
A charismatic character with a penchant for the neo-psychedelic, Wesley waltzes confidently onto any stage and Fuller’s debut UK track, Melvista, sets the scene with its technicolour assault of catchy melodies, glorious harmonies and thumping disco beats.
Written years ago as a teen fuelled by Smirnoff double blacks and late night MSN chats Wesley seamlessly captures the intensity of your first crush: an affair full of strange and new experiences set to a backdrop of unabashed alt-pop.
Wesley unveils Melvista on February 22nd and UK dates will be announced shortly.
