Kate Pierson – ‘Bring Your Arms’

Kate Pierson – ‘Bring Your Arms’

Kate Pierson – iconic voice and founding member of punk, new wave, genre-defying band  B52s, releases her debut solo record Guitars and Microphones, February 17 via Lazy Meadow Music/Kobalt Label Services. Following first taste of the album in ‘Mister Sister’ was welcomed, the latest song ‘Bring Your Arms’ arrive a bristling good synth-pop jam with environmental theme. Co-written by Sia and Chris Braide, the song was inspired when Kate and Sia witnessed sea turtle egg rescue while on a trip to Tulum in Mexico. Environmental activists themselves, they found it moving and thus Sia hatched the song for Kate.

‘Bring Your Arms’ is a wholesome release, portion of the proceeds for “Bring Your Arms” will be donated to Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, moreover all bodes very well for Kate Pierson’s new album, for now grab a copy of this solid and infectious single. 7.8/10
