American rock band, the Killers are entering their 15th year as a touring band.
Fronted by singer Brandon Flowers, there isn’t much the band hasn’t achieved in their time. Recently it was announced that the band will be opening the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas which is situated behind the Monte Carlo and New York.
New York casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. The 20,000-seater arena has been built by the MGM Resorts International and will hold the best in live music and sports.
On April 6, the Killers will perform in front of a sold out crowd to officially open the arena. Following the Killers performance, legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses will play two shows at the T-Mobile Arena followed by a slew of high profile acts.
The arena is just another addition to the MGM Resorts International’s growing portfolio. With a huge shift happening in their business portfolio, the MGM has started heavily investing in live entertainment platforms to subside the losses the gaming industry has incurred in the last decade. Since the rise of online gaming, which has seen online portals offer live dealers, 3D gaming titles, daily deposit bonuses, monthly rewards and responsible gaming platforms, companies such as the MGM have looked at custom-built music arenas as a way of diversifying their portfolios.
With the T-Mobile Arena marketed as the best live entertainment arena in the state, the MGM seem to have raised the bar once more. The arena is also looking to attract the state’s first professional sports team to the Las Vegas, although nothing has been confirmed as yet.
Other acts that have been announced to play the T-Mobile Arena include Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks, George Strait and Janet Jackson. The arena will also welcome the Harlem Globetrotters to play an exhibition match on April 19. With so many performances already announced, 2016 is going to be a busy first year for the T-Mobile Arena. For any additional information on the shows, visit their official website below.
