Larusso is a high-energy rock band from Salt Lake City, Utah that have been touring the circuit throughout the regional Southwest, sharing the stage with national acts such as Yellowcard, The Almost, Go Radio, Transit, and Cartel. They have played at various festivals, including, Warped Tour, as well as headlining and acting as the supporting band for events such as the Utah Arts Festival, Salt Lake Bees Concert Series, and Summer Fun Festival (ft. T-Wayne).
Utah’s highly wired four-man outfit consists of Aaron Condrat (lead vocals, guitar), Nick Sasich (guitar), Tyler ‘Fizzy’ Grundstrom (bass), Justin Trombetti (drums, vocals). The band has been busy promoting their debut full-length release which was dropped in 2014. Larusso’s independently and nationally released LP, Life in Static, has risen them as the top-requested artist on the radio both in a local and national level. ‘The Voice’ has also ranked them at #41 on the Mediabase Activator charts among predominantly signed artists. Life in Static was also well-received among the press, garnering them a firm position in the Music Dealers’ roster in 2015.
They premiered their single, “Fever” on 9/19/15, which is accompanied by their debut music video release of the single towards the end of January.
“Fever” is a song that is uniquely filled with a catchy pop-rock sound that combines qualities of pop and punk that is altogether quite intense and engaging. It is filled with a syncopated rock backbeat. With great lyrics and vocals that sing with a sting from the sigh of heartbreak, this great rock track is not stringy when it comes to great melodies and a harmonizing beat.
2016 sees Larusso touring around the country in support of their new single, “Fever” and for their last LP Life in Static. They plan on starting work on recording a new album in the spring. 7.8/10
