ndercover Festival now in its FIFTH year have just announced their full line up which will be held in the unique setting of Dreamland Margate in Kent.
Undercover a festival venue and experience that defies all other conventions and festival templates, not only do we have a cracking line up but festival goers can experience many retro rides and amusements plus it is once again held undercover i.e. not outdoors so if it’s peeing down come September it’s not a problem and your beer won’t get diluted. Leave your wellies at home, and enjoy one of the best small alternative festivals the South has to offer this September.
“With the latest additions we have finally put in place a line-up that we believe is packed with bands that should appeal to most that like their music alternative. We believe we have most bases covered AND we guarantee an X Factor Free zone as there is no place for that s***e on our stages” said Festival Organiser Mick Moriarty.
Mick added “Preparation are going well and ticket sales are up on last year so out advice is get in quick to get your tickets because when they are sold out that’s it, we have more shops selling tickets this year plus you can get your tickets online from Dreamland or the Undercover website.

Undercover Festival V @ Dreamland Margate 8 & 9 Sept 2017
UNDERCOVER FESTIVAL V a 2 day celebration of alternative music including Punk / Ska / Dub / Reggae / Alt / Acoustic + so much more.
This year’s Undercover Festival has moved to the unique setting of Dreamland Margate in Kent, a festival venue and experience that defies all other conventions and festival templates, not only do we have a cracking line up but festival goers can experience many retro rides and amusements plus it is once again held undercover i.e. not outdoors so if it’s peeing down come September it’s not a problem and your beer won’t get diluted. Leave your wellies at home, and enjoy one of the best small alternative festivals the South has to offer this September.
“This year’s festival has a line-up that is packed with bands that should appeal to most that like their music alternative. Undercover is an X Factor Free zone and there is no place for that schmaltzy pulp on our stages” said Festival Organiser Mick Moriarty.
The 2 day line-up is shortly to be announced includes some cracking local bands and so much more over two stages is shaping up to be an unmissable event. We believe we have most bases covered.
The festival is one that prides itself on taking an independent and grassroots approach to things, and is always determined to be different from mainstream events, with two days of alternative action from bands you’d be highly unlikely to see on many other festival line-ups.
Mick Moriarty said: “We believe the usual run-of-the-mill festivals tend to book bands that in the main are broadly similar – and way too safe! We try for a line up and experience that is something different and appeals to a crowd definitely not catered for elsewhere.
“Being a small independent grassroots festival is tough because media attention is always on the big boys. But we’ve got through to our fifth year and we’re going strong because what we have created really has struck a chord with people who like their music raw and full of the passion and energy that only acts like ours generate.”
The festival now in its fifth year grew out of a small tent tucked in the back corner of the sadly departed GuilFest in Surrey and has now become a firm fixture in many people’s diaries, with dedicated fans coming back year on year.
In a financial climate where it always seems to be about the money, Undercover throws convention to the wind and just goes with what it believes in. There is a huge line up and tickets can be bought in advance online of from various locations details from www.undercoverfest.com
