Originally from Glasgow, Lorin started singing and at the age of fourteen and over the course of the next three years she developed an engaging and distinctive vocal style. At the age of seventeen she travelled to the states where she was accepted at the New York School Conservatory for Film & Television. The multi-talented singer excelled at the school and this led to collaboration with producers Arty Skye and the result was her first ‘proper’ song ‘Changeling’.
Taking inspiration from the likes of Jessie J, Paloma Faith and Lady Gaga, Lorin returned to the UK a year later to hone her vocal skills and to study for a BA in songwriting in London’s Tech Music School in Fulham. Since completing her degree, Lorin has been successfully developing her craft further and reaching out to a wider audience with live performances across London, both solo and with a band, while simultaneously penning new songs. This has led to ubiquitous, London based, music producer, Nick Sheldon unearthing her talent and he has since helped Lorin define and shape her dramatic pop signature sound.
Lorin and a band that includes drums, guitar and bass is set to return to Glasgow to play a special night at Wild Cabaret on the 18th of February, more dates will be announced to coincide with the single release and throughout the new year in the very near future.
