Written and recorded by band maestro Webb, ‘No. 28’ finds Methyl Ethel refining sounds and rendering them in high definition, thanks in part to producer James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Foals, Klaxons), who has been working with Webb on the follow-up to debut album Oh Inhuman Spectacle (originally released in Australia back in the summer of 2015). The pair’s collaboration across the coming release has infused Methyl Ethel’s shoegaze dream-pop palate with electronic flourishes, further evolving their sound from early EPs ‘Guts’ and ‘Teeth’.
