” …exuberant, super-catchy vibe and engaging live performances.”

“Layering Beethoven-era orchestral elements with funky bass-lines and jazz-inspired horns, “Kid” features breathy vocals from Claire Puckett, who sounds like Stars’ Amy Millan — if she took up residence at the Blue Note.”
“the energy of rock ‘n roll, the musicianship of classical music and the free-wheeling spirit of jazz”
“The band stretches its boundaries even further… “
“mature, adventurousness, and visionary”
Austin’s Mother Falcon have released their third full-length album, Good Luck Have Fun, on Universal Music Classics. With this this release, the orchestral-pop collective takes a leap into the unknown, blowing up their usual way of composing and recording together in a conscious effort to push themselves into new stylistic and sonic realms. The record has received praise from NPR, Relix, SPIN, Paste Magazine as well as a cinematically shot rooftop live performance session with Last.FM.
Mother Falcon is currently in the midst of a co-bill tour with Ben Sollee and is thrilled to share the brand new video for album track “Naked + Alive.” Band member Tamir Kalifa explains, “The video is intended to be a figurative illustration of the lyrics to “Naked + Alive.” It draws a parallel between the endless corn maze and the endless tragedies people subject each other to in the name of survival; whether it’s physical, political or economical. The camera following a wandering stranger in real-time perpetuates some of the frustrations with this endless cycle as with every turn, his hopes for change or resolution are met with the same pathway and ethos of the past.” The “Naked + Alive” video premiered with PopMatters.
Featuring 20 active rotating members, Mother Falcon has announced a co-bill fall tour with Louisville’s Ben Sollee that will bring their unconventional blend of orchestral and alternative influenced music to performing arts centers, theaters, and clubs across the country. “The Fall Migration” tour will bring together these two trendsetting artists of the progressive acoustic genre together for an evening of compelling and original music. Be sure to catch the raucous live show in a city near you!
