NEO-PSYCH OUTFIT SPIRES TO PERFORM AT THIS YEAR’S SXSW
The New York-based Spires seemingly came out of nowhere last year, having formed 12 months ago, they burst onto the scene last Summer with a Residency at Piano’s on the Lower East Side, stunning live sets at the Northside Festival and CMJ and live shows with Temples, Allah-Las, Widowspeak and Hookworms. Along the way, they picked up early critical acclaim from both sides of the Atlantic – the NY Times, NME, Brooklyn Vegan and BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens all praised the band.
The five-piece have also just supported rock siblings TOY in North America and are to play this years’ SXSW. UK dates are to be announced.
