Since releasing his sophomore EP in August, the final months of 2016 have been very exciting for this rising rock star. In September, Ian kicked off Farm Aid 2016 with a performance that Rolling Stone called one of the best things they saw. He opened his set with a “solo electric take on ABBA’s ‘Dancing Queen'” followed by “hEaDsOuNd” and more from his latest EP. In November, Ian returned to the stage in New York City at the popular Lower East Side hot-spot, Pianos, to perform for a packed house.
This month, Ian can be seen on newsstands nationwide as he is featured on the cover of Resident Magazine’s December Entertainment issue. The “male-model-superstar-and influential-downtown-rock & roll gorgon,” as Resident calls Mellencamp, chats with George Wayne about his new EP and more. Ian is also featured in Glamour’s January “Party Issue” which just hit stands this week.
Beyond taking the stage for his signature rock & roll performances, Ian has also continued to keep partygoers on their feet late into the night with his DJ sets at events like The Surf Lodge’s pop-up during Art Basel Miami last week as well as The Resolution Project’s Resolve 2016 Gala in October.
