British band release video for their Warpaint single
“For this video we wanted to feature an army of empowered women and display the striking image they convey when walking together united,” the band explain. “We purposely didn’t want to give it a context or too obviously display their sexual appeal – just a bare palette uniform marching through nature. Despite the fact that we don’t know where they’re going or who they might be fighting, there is a strong sense of femininity and influence.”- Paradisia
Paradisia are fresh from releasing a new video for their second single Warpaint out now. The track follows their debut single Silent Lover, which was released earlier this year to critical acclaim.
Paradisia describe Warpaint as a song about female solidarity and empowerment; “There’s something really special that happens when women unite, anything is possible and this song is all about that.” The power and sheer presence of this song conveys this message perfectly with a serenity that is truly their own.
Hailing from London, Paradisia are Sophie-Rose (vocals), Anna (harp) and Kristy (vocals, keyboard). After being involved in a variety of musical projects together over the last five years, the band formed Paradisia in 2015. After writing and recording and record their music in Berlin, the band rose to prominence when they launched a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s Dancing In The Dark. The track rose to #8 in the Hype Machine chart and has over 50,000 plays on SoundCloud to date. The band have opened for Carole King at BST Summertime Festival in Hyde Park earlier this Summer and have also supported Laura Mvula.
