NZCA LINES SHARES COMPLETE INFINITE SUMMER VISUALS
TITLE TRACK VIDEO PREMIERED BY BROOKLYN VEGAN
INFINITE SUMMER RELEASED ONE YEAR AGO ON MEMPHIS INDUSTRIES
NZCA LINES – the London-based project of Michael Lovett, with Sarah Jones – has today shared the complete tour visuals for his acclaimed Infinite Summer album.
Teaming up with designers TAXONYM and Amala Studio to produce films for every song on the record, these cinematic accompaniments flesh out the album’s science fiction narrative with beautiful, evocative imagery.
The distinctive film for title track “Infinite Summer” – directed by Alina Landry Rancier (Amala Studio) – was premiered today by Brooklyn Vegan.
“Infinite Summer was inspired by concept-driven albums such as Daft Punk’s Discovery / Interstella 5555 and Drexciya’s Neptune’s Lair,” explains Michael. “It was always my dream to have a visual for each song, something that would draw an audience deeper into our world. Our Village Underground show was an opportunity to bring the album to life onstage in a way we hadn’t done before. I worked closely with TAXONYM and Amala Studio to articulate my thoughts, feelings and ideas behind each song on Infinite Summer, which they interpreted to create each of the videos.”
Infinite Summer, an emotional and dark, intimate and refined LP that refracts Lovett’s personal life through the guise of a concept album, was released exactly one year ago on Memphis Industries and features the BBC Radio 6 Music A Listed singles “Persephone Dreams”, “Two Hearts” and “Jessica.”
Having toured as part of Christine and the Queens’ live band (he played bass and keys on her hit debut album), Michael is currently holed up in New York writing new material for the next NZCA LINES album.
