Glastonbury 7/2 to be rain-free
Tuesday 21st June, 2016 – Betway are as short as 7/2 for not a single drop of rain to fall at Glastonbury this year as forecasts show festival-goers are in for a brighter week than usual.
Still, it wouldn’t be Glastonbury without the mud and wellies and, at 4/11, showers on 1-2 days of the five-day festival is the most probable outcome according to the bookmaker.
The betting suggests it’s more likely for the rain to fall on 3-4 days (13/8) than it is to stay away for all five (7/2).
The best news for those making their way to Worthy Farm on Wednesday is that odds on a washout – rainfall on all five days of the music festival – appears to be the most unlikely scenario at 7/1.
Betway’s Alan Alger, said: “The forecast for Glastonbury looks a bit more promising than usual but the weight of bets is still on rain to fall on 1-2 days at 4/11.
“For those that remain optimistic, we’re offering 7/2 that the rain holds off for the whole festival. Worthy Farm tends to attract the rain clouds, though, and 7/1 for a total wash-out might not be the worst bet in the world.”
