“The Pink Slips Are Set To Be Big Bubbles – Kerrang!”
Grace McKagan, who often goes by her stage name “GRAVE,” her third singing gig was in front of 15,000 people singing back up on “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” by Bob Dylan, along side Slash, Duff, Matt Sorum, Gilby Clarke of Guns N’ Roses. Her official band “The Pink Slips” were flown out to play and perform at CBGB’s prestigious festival in NYC, and also walk the red carpet for its film premiere. Grace and “The Pink Slips” performed at Piano’s nightclub, which is the same venue where Lady Gaga also inaugurated her singing career. They were invited to play again the following CBGB Festival, and this time, Grace also hosted in New York’s Times Square major bands and artists performing. Grace was asked by Linda Ramone, to then play at the 10th Anniversary Event for the commemoration of Johnny Ramone.
Grave has captured the eyes and lenses, of such fantastic photographers such as Nick Hudson, Ellen Von Unwerth, Andrew Macpherson, Prince and Jacob, Felisha Tolentino, Kymberly Marciano to name a few… She has been featured as the “New Generation” of Stars in multiple spreads for NYLON Magazine, PaperMagazine, L’Officiel as well as being featured as Nasty Gal’s “It Girl.” She is often painted by artist Lucas David.
Recently the 17 year old, played shows at Seattle’s famed “The Crocodile” and “Vera Project” as well asThe Troubador, Viper Room, as well as headlining several shows, at The Whisky A Go Go! Upcoming she and “The Pink Slips” will be heading over to the UK to play the uber large Download Festival (same day as MUSE), and a few shows in London and Wales. “The Pink Slips” have been dubbed as the next Blondie, meets No Doubt. Their band is a blend of synth pop/punk.
The Pink Slips will playing in London at the Dublin Castle on Thursday 18th June.
