Raf Rundell (The 2 Bears) unveils new single ‘Carried Away’
“Built on a swirling piano loop and a rattling drum beat” – Overblown
“London was at my feet / I found gold on every street, I got carried away…”
In which our hero, Raf Rundell (shamanic DJ supremo, Bears-raver and shameless selfie capturer) leaves the studio, heads out on his trusty pushbike and ends up taking more from the capital than he really should. Over clattering percussion and a chaotic, addictive piano loop, Raf recounts a cautionary tail of perils of living life at full tilt in the big city.
Carried Away is the second track taken from the forthcoming release The Adventures of Selfie Boy Pt 1 (Dec 9th 2016). It was written in a dark satanic mill up north with Simon Dine (AKA The Noonday Underground who has written with and produced records for Paul Weller, Jimi Goodwin from Doves and Dexy’s amongst others).
Raf Rundell heads out on the road with the mighty Black Peaches in December for a series of dates. He will play live and DJ at:
Dec 1s Sticky Mike’s Frog Bar, Brighton
Dec 2nd Start The Bus, Bristol
Dec 3rd Soup Kitchen, Manchester
Dec 4th Mono, Glasgow
Dec 8th Kamio (at the Red Gallery), London
Raf’s monthly club Ladies Night returns to East Bloc in London for a Halloween special on Oct 29th. Guests include Brooks, Bullion, Nadia Ksaiba, Party Nails and many more.
