“Raised Fist were always a love-it-or-hate-it band, but this release shows their formula to be as distinctive, fierce and as impossibly infectious as ever” – Metal Hammer
“Great songs, great melodies and choruses, aggression, autonomy, variety and courage to the unusual. All this makes a strong album.”– Metal.de
“The band is ready to destroy everything on stage with an album like that” – L’Essor (FR)
Swedish hardcore-punks Raised Fist have announced they will be playing the Belgian Groezrock Festival on May 2nd. “It’s more than 10 years since we played Groezrock.” says frontman Alexander “Alle” Hagman. “Still we have so many clear memories from that insane show! This summer we finally return! This time with a new album, and a band on a whole new level!”
The band have also released a brand new video for the track “Flow”, Alexander “Alle” Hagman: “The video illustrates what we feel like music wise and mentally after being away for almost 6 years, surrounded by people wanting to put a lit on our outflow, and hinder the circulation. Instead of making this Hollywood polished “expendables” action video like Friends & Traitors, we wanted a gritty, nasty, disturbing look in the style of the movie “pusher”. Everything to accompany the rough sound and feeling of From The North.

“We recorded this in a 10 degree C hangar. Almost no clothes. We got wet, we got spit on, we got hit for real and it was just the worst recording ever comfortable-wise. Enjoy the result!”
‘From The North’ is the quintet’s first full-length album in five years and came out earlier this month. It has earned a rapturous reception to date, resulting in entering the official album charts in Finland at #14 and in Sweden at #15. You can listen to the album in full here.
