Los Angeles-based experimental pop artist Ramsey has a fresh new single, “The Garden,” for listeners of Electronic, Trip Hop and Chill music to enjoy.
The visionary singer, who writes and produces all her own work, has been pushing out a lot of music in recent months that has gained her a loyal following among fans and fellow musicians alike.
Likening herself to such acts like Glass Animals, Portishead and Phantogram, the single is filled with dark, emotive layers that can be best described as haunting. The husky vocals complements the sound and for what seems like a blunder in the music – there appears to be what could only be described as a scratch in the throat, decisively making the track all the more dynamic. The eye-opening bluesy renditions and soulful vocals and lyrics also meld other genres from R&B to hip hop and jazz. The genre-crossing music is chilling.
Geared toward an attention-grabbing sound, Ramsey’s single, “The Garden,” is a mind-blowing experimental piece of work. The Electronic pop track adheres to a dramatic and emotional device that makes the song stand out among other standard fare. 7.7/10
