Come On Christmas
Bonfire night’s out the way, the fireworks have fizzled out and the David Cameron effigies have turned to murky ash soup, so now we are all officially allowed to start getting Christmassy. Trees are in shop windows, lights are being switched on and there’s an email on the doormat from Saint Etienne with news of tours, merriment and stuff they want to flog. Great stuff, mind you.
The Saint Etienne Online Store has hired some extra elves to line its virtual shelves with some very special Xmas fare:
• ‘A Glimpse Of Stocking’ will be available for the first time ever on vinyl. This is a strictly limited edition – 2000 copies worldwide – and comes in a classy, flip-back and Clarifoil sleeve on our very own Foreign Office imprint. The release marks the beginning of an extensive Saint Etienne vinyl re-issues programme that will unfurl throughout 2016 – and beyond! ‘A Glimpse Of Stocking’ will be available to pre order at £20 per copy from 5pm GMT next Monday 16th November here. Once these 2000 copies are gone – there won’t be any more, so don’t delay, order (a few days after) today.
• We’ve also taken delivery of 250 copies of the Saint Etienne photo book that was released last year and those will also be available in our shop at £39.95 each. If you haven’t seen a copy please check the the store as it’s a beautiful object and as a special Xmas extra Bob, Pete and Sarah will personally dedicate and sign each copy sold up until December 1st. Once again orders will be taken from 5pm GMT next Monday 16th November here and all orders will ship in time for Crimbo.
• Last but not least we have a very special Saint Etienne collectible to offer. It’s a one sided 12″ vinyl that features the first ever Saint Etienne recording made by Bob and Pete way back in 1984. Previously unreleased electro track “We Survived”comes rubber stamped in a plain black disco bag, signed, with a press release telling the story behind the recording (penned by Bob) and period photograph of our heroes caught in action. This one is super limited to just 300 copies worldwide priced at £20 each. 200 copies of “We Survived” will be made available via the Saint Etienne web shop herefrom 5pm GMT next Monday 16th November. The remaining 100 will be sold – 25 copies per night – on a first come first served basis (one copy per person) at each of the 4 Saint Etienne Christmas shows this December.
Speaking of the Christmas shows we have some very special guests to celebrate more than 2,000 years of Christmas with us. The stellar line-ups are as follows:
