Secret Space’s new new single ‘Second Life’. The song comes off of the band’s debut album The Window Room, coming to Equal Vision Records on June 17th. It appears, from the outside looking in, to be a frenetic creative charge to make things happen. Since announcing their start in March of 2015 they have already signed with Equal Vision Records, released a self-titled EP, and recorded their debut LP. Produced, and in part written, by Will Yip (Circa Survive, Citizen, Turnover), ‘The Window Room’ intended to bridge the gap between alternative and pop music. Courtesy of the songwriting outfit of Dean Tartaglia (vocalist/multi-instrumentalist) featuring Zach Ruetz (bassist/vocalist) and Steve Warstler (drummer).
‘Second Life’ is certainly more accessible, with softer vocals over building sonic weight, like the production and Dean Tartaglia’s guitar work, vocally strong, here on a more tender note. If this is another true taste, the album should be of more appeal, as much as I love just about everything alternative, hybrid is no strange place to be, if they continue in similar fashion, and the new single ‘Second Life’ is truly representative, it’s going to be another good successful and tiring year. 7.7/10
