Single Release – Banana Tsunami
“We would like to bring our brand new single Banana Tsunami to your attention (available to stream here), we hope you enjoy it. If so, any way of being featured in your publication would be hugely appreciated.
A group of childhood friends and family, The Shakers are a funk rock band taking influences from 70’s rock and roll, while bringing a fresh underlying groove. The past year has seen the band appear on BBC Introducing shows, feature in an award winning Channel 4 TV show, be named “Best of British Unsigned” indie band of the month and play a handful of festivals, including most excitingly Glastonbury, a festival the the band will be playing at again in 2017!
Banana Tsunami was recorded at Red Bull Studios in London with producer Louis Fulford-Smith, and following The Shakers’ signature sound it mixes classic rock n’ roll guitar with funk filled bass and keys to create the sticky grooves the band labels as slacker rock.
First single Brixton Kiss saw The Shakers putting a marker in the sand and expressing who they are, and now Banana Tsunami finds them taking their sound even further. The 70’s style guitar mixes with an unashamedly funky drumline, all the while the reverberated synth transports you instantly to sunnier times. With Banana Tsunami the band are are bringing sunshine slacker rock at it’s best.
To be featured on your publication would mean a huge amount to us. We hope you enjoy the track, and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like any more information.
The Shakers’ next performance will be on May 6th at the Proud Galleries in Camden
