European tour autumn 2017
With special guest Beans on Toast
Hot on the heels of six-piece Skinny Lister’s April and May UK headline tour – including their biggest headline show at London’s Scala, now sold out – the band is excited to announce a huge tour of European countries in October and November 2017.
Since releasing the critically acclaimed third album The Devil, The Heart & The Fight in September 2016 – available on vinyl, CD and download through Xtra Mile Recordings – Skinny Lister has continued to build upon their impeccable live shows. As Dropkick Murphy’s fans found out earlier this year when Skinny Lister supported them on a huge European tour, it’s a rum-fuelled, sweat-soaked and furiously fun time. There are very few bands that can better this whirlwind of dancing and exuberant folk-rock on stage.
They will be accompanied by label mate, tour buddy and occasional collaborator, Beans on Toast. Beans is everyone’s favourite drunk-folk singer and has toured with Skinny Lister many times before and even collaborated on a festive song called ‘This Christmas’.

2016 was a formidable year for the band which saw them support Frank Turner across Germany, Austria and Switzerland; tour the East Coast USA on a headline tour with label pals Beans on Toast and Will Varley in tow; release third album The Devil, The Heart & The Fight which has received support from 6Music’s Steve Lamacq, and reached the Top 40 Indie Album Chart in the UK and 38 in the US Americana/Folk Chart; and ending the year with a sold out UK Headline tour and another massive US tour headline tour in November.
The never-ending tour machine continues throughout the year with multiple festival dates, another sold out UK tour and further tours in the works.
“Skinny Lister knows how to have a good time. Throughout their performances, there are various Celtic references, acoustic instrumentation and a ton of fun. It’s a kind of show where you need to hold onto your bootstraps.” – Noisey
“…a visceral and deafening experience.” – The Independent (5-out-of-5)
“…considerably upped their game.” – Q Magazine (5-out-of-5)
