‘A Space God Appears’ EP Out 12/13 Via Dingo Vinyl
LISTEN & SHARE: Spooky Mansion – “Disco Bitch”
“Frontman Grayson Converse’s vocals have a come-hither quality to them, luring us into the band’s ethereal landscape.” – IMPOSE
“Brightening up the fog covered skies with their warm Shannon & the Clams-esque surf-rock guitar tones.“ – SF Weekly
Careening through the universe, pistols blazing, neutron drive pulsing, Spooky Mansion spreads Surf Soul Rock n Roll through their banditry, piracy, and vileness. In secret they honed their skills in San Francisco, forging powerful electron guitars and solar basses. They were featured on their local NPR, played Noise Pop this past summer, and slowly conquered the local venues and looted their ore deposits until their infamy became too great. Last seen hiding in the asteroid fields of the Golrage Nebula, it is said that Spooky is designing the most powerful single ever recorded.
Tino Drima sings a Hero’s Tale of then, now, and what will be. Crooning hell harmonies over charmed, ripping beats, Tino channels music that has always existed. Think the inter-dimensional radio in Old Man Cooper’s house that portals classics from a better world in between government warnings of peace and goodwill. Tino Drima mixes influences from Roy Orbison, Elvis, and Can to make a unique vintage sound. They released a debut EP earlier this year which DoTheBay said to “evoke all that is sensual about contemporary popular music and will make you tingle with excitement.”
Both bands will take the stage for their release show at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco, on December 16th.
