THE TENFIVESIXTY EXCLUSIVE FREE TRACK ‘KILLER’S SON’
The TenFiveSixty debut their intelligent, timeless, electric 3-piece pop sound with ‘Killer’s Son’, an exclusive free track to be found online early next year.
The band is comprised of Jen, Rick and Seb. Two years ago, Jen approached Rick in a deserted music shop and asked him what a certain chord was that she’d just heard him play. Rick replied that he didn’t have a clue, and thirty seconds later the two strangers had agreed to start a band.

“We discovered each other…simultaneously, and very quickly it became apparent that we had a job to do. I only went in for a couple of plectrums, and came out wanting to take on the world.”
The two shared a love of lost romanticism, soundtracks, 60’s girl groups, 80’s hooks, good footwear, attention to detail, and the darker side of classic British guitar pop. Armed with two battered acoustic guitars and a Mini, the duo drove from Tennessee to California, writing as they went and asking to play wherever they could…usually in second hand clothes stores situated in less than celubrious neighbourhoods where they provided free entry for everyone plus a case of beer.
On returning to London, the acoustics were swapped for electrics, they plugged in, turned up, and the songs were finished. Seb Sternberg was later to be recruited on drums and the three piece was formed.
The album, due to drop this summer, rests somewhere between Mazzy Star and The Pretenders, the bold soundscapes and thoughtful lyrics conjur up twilight tales of love and loss, with not a second wasted. The urgency that runs through all the tracks acts as a constant reminder that this is a band who should be very important…indeed. In 2012 watch the band bring electric 3-piece pop music into the mainstream.
