FFO: Moose Blood, The Appleseed Cast, Pinback
Yorkshire indie emo outfit TRACK AND FIELD are birthing their musical adventure with the release of their debut EP You Are My Home.
To celebrate the EP’s digital release, the quintet have also revealed the video for lead single ‘World’ which was directed and produced by Giles Smith who has worked on previous projects with You Me At Six and Royal Blood.
In recent times, the amplified buzz around the indie emo scene has welcomed the emergence of some incredible talent, and Track and Field are no exception. Their four-track debut blends mesmerising rhythms, elegantly crafted melodies, hazy vocals and bouncy drum-lines to deliver captivating material that puts them way ahead of their years.

The five guys that make up Track and Field all boast musical pasts, but ones that couldn’t distance them further from the genre that has brought them together. The band is, in fact, the marriage of current and ex-members of extreme grind violence outfit The Afternoon Gentlemen and punk rockers The Plight; the latter signed to Visible Noise and completed UK and European tours with household names including Converge, Gallows and Cancer Bats before their disbandment in 2011. Now venturing into a brand new realm, the quintet are moving in an exciting direction which enables them to deliver personal and expressive music outside of their comfort zone.
Track and Field are playing two hometown shows next month, with plans to tour further afield in the near future. Current dates are as follows:
Sat 7th Feb – Temple of Boom, Leeds
Sat 21st Feb – Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
You Are My Home is available now on all major digital retailers including iTunes and Amazon, as well as to stream on Spotify. Track and Field plan to release the record on vinyl in Spring, details of which will be revealed in the near future.
