Vuvuvultures Release Extraordinary New Video For Single Steel Bones
Debut Album Push/Pull Released on Monday 29th July. Album Launch Party This Saturday 27th at Hoxton Hall, Tuesday 30th Instore at Rough Trade
Vuvuvultures recently announced the release of their debut album ‘Push/Pull’ on the 29th July through Energy Snake Records. The first single to be taken from their debut is ‘Steel Bones’ which came out this week to precede the album. The band worked with director Gabriel Gettman to create this beautifully shot video featuring the band looking their most seductive and intimidating – wonder how you will answer next time you’re asked “your place or mine?”
When Vuvuvultures first fly across your field of vision, you could be forgiven for thinking them a bit intense. There’s the dark, some might say gothic imagery that peppers their visuals and videos: eyes in mouths, mouths for eyes, lips dribbling black blood. The backstory is uncompromisingly underground: self-promoted parties in abandoned buildings, rather than the regular new-band circuit. Their music – although it’s manufacture is somewhat out of the ordinary, with a suitcase full of electric gadgetry – has a surprisingly strong pop sensibility.
After the release of their self-titled debut EP in 2012, Vuvuvultures have been on a steady rise to power. Having extensively toured the UK and Europe, their captivating and abrasive live show earned them plaudits, resulting in an invitation to support Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster at their famous Halloween show at Camden’s Electric Ballroom. They’ve spent July touring the UK, including appearances at Hard Rock Calling and Tramlines. Just before that, they were given the opportunity to play shows in Brazil.
Vuvuvultures will be launching their album in their own inimitable way, by putting on their own show at Hoxton Hall this Saturday the 27th July.
