The first wave of acts has been announced for the boutique music festival’s third year including Wild Beasts and The Orb
Indie shapeshifters Wild Beasts, ambient house pioneers The Orb, country / techno innovators Alabama 3 and Manchester legend Peter Hook are among the first wave of artists announced to perform at Rockaway Beach Festival. The three day boutique music festival’s mission is to celebrate the best emerging, breakthrough and established alternative artists.
Rockaway Beach will take place at Butlin’s Bognor Regis from 12th-14th January 2018 and will also see Steve Lamacq and the Charlatans’ Tim Burgess take to the decks as well as live performances from exciting new acts such as Honeyblood, Desperate Journalist and She Drew the Gun.
Back for its third year, Rockaway Beach offers three incredible days of live performances and DJs sets all within the comfort of Butlin’s resort – as well as a host of other activities and entertainment all included in the price. Previous years have seen exhilarating performances from Suede, Johnny Marr, Killing Joke, Young Fathers, Echo and the Bunnymen, Ghostpoet and Spiritualized.
Festival organizer, Ian Crowther from The Way of Music commented “Wild Beasts are an exceptional band at the top of their game and I know they will deliver an awesome set, Alabama 3 are simply one of the best festival acts you could hope to see, and The Orb will bring a really unique show to Rockaway Beach.”
Mike Godolphin, Head of Entertainment at Butlin’s commented “We’re incredibly excited to be hosting Rockaway Beach again this year as part of our Live Music Weekends programme. Rockaway Beach is an intimate, serious music lover’s festival that crosses boundaries, genres and generations allowing both the audience and artist to celebrate and share their love of music.”
All Butlin’s Live Music Weekend packages include three nights’ accommodation, access to all bars and live music venues, live performances from big name acts as well as a stunning seaside location – and not a muddy tent insight.
