(New York, NY – January 19, 2020) San Francisco-based singer-songwriter Shannon Rugani musically known as EMPRESS® has released her cinematic music video for her single “SnowGlobe” – out now. Filmed on Lake Tahoe, Nevada, the video captures EMPRESS and six dancers emerging from Zorbs onto land signifying that happiness is but a mere breakthrough away. The video was directed by EMPRESS, Siege INC. and Dino Elias, the latter also acted as choreographer. “SnowGlobe”, the first single released from EMPRESS this year, is available now on all streaming platforms.
Born and raised in Lake Tahoe, California, former professional ballerina Shannon Rugani, musically known as EMPRESS, trained tirelessly before joining the San Francisco Ballet and becoming one of the youngest members in the company’s history. After performing in countless shows around the globe, Rugani decided in 2017 to step away from the stage to focus on her music career. An accomplished choreographer and composer, Rugani has written music and choreographed for short films, including American Overture, Freefall and PRIMA, which premiered at the 2012 TriBeCa Film Festival.
