Alberteen are delighted to announce the release of their new album Lowenva.

Their first official release since 2019, the album was written and recorded by the three original members John Rose, Phil Shaw and Ade Berry between March and October 2020. Known for creating noir-inspired, cinematic vignettes, Alberteen have expanded their sound further on Lowenva which sees the band integrating clarinets, saxophones and even the odd theremin solo alongside their trademark guitars. The trio set about utilising technology developed by the originators of Soho’s legendary Trident Studios, enabling them to write and collaborate in and out of lockdowns.  What has resulted is an album infused with melancholy and reflection, determinedly free of ‘rock outs’, and self-produced by the band.

Alberteen came to prominence with their albums Metal Book and Miss World, have had sessions for BBC 6 Music, toured the UK and been featured on BBC 6 Music by Gideon Coe, Radcliffe & Maconie, Liz Kershaw and their steadfast supporter Tom Robinson, as well as international support from KROC radio in the USA and music press worldwide.

The imagery and cover for the album is by US photographer Jonathan Haeber, with photographs taken on location at an abandoned Neverland ranch.Lowenva is out now and available to stream and buy on Spotify, Apple Music and Soundcloud.
