The Who Sell Out 🥫 Super Deluxe Edition
The Who Sell Out 🥫 Super Deluxe Edition
Just Announced:
The Who Sell Out
Super Deluxe Edition
The Who Sell Out Super Deluxe Edition will be released on 23 April via UMC / UMe / Polydor, featuring 112 tracks across five CDs & two 7” singles, a 80-page hard back book with new liner notes by Pete Townshend, plus rare posters, inserts and memorabilia.
Initially released in 1967 and described latterly by Rolling Stone as ‘The Who’s finest album’, The Who Sell Out was originally planned as a concept album including jingles and commercials linking the songs stylised as a pirate radio broadcast. The plan was to sell advertising space on the album but instead the band opted for writing their own jingles to parody an increasingly consumerist society.
