Boys Noize & Kelsey Lu announce Ride Or Die ft. Chilly Gonzales
BOYS NOIZE & KELSEY LU ANNOUNCE “RIDE OR DIE FT CHILLY GONZALES“ NFT DROP
BOYS NOIZE & KELSEY LU, together with ART CAMP and NO TRICKS, are releasing their first ever collaborative audio-visual NFT via Nifty Gateway.
New York based creative studio Art Camp, Danae Gosset & Danica Tan directed and animated the video based on 4000 pages of hand drawn art to accompany Boys Noize and Kelsey Lu’s first musical collaboration, ft Chilly Gonzales. The “Ride Or Die” NFT auction opens on Sunday March, 14 at 2pm ET and closes at 6pm ET time on Monday, March 15. After the auction, the song will be released everywhere on Wednesday, March 17 at 12pm ET along with the full length video on Youtube. Following Ridha´s 2020 NFT releases under his experimental project PVNX, the “Ride or Die” NFT is the first to bear the BOYS NOIZE name.
BOYS NOIZE builds worlds, then builds bridges between them. Propelled by an infatuation with sonic invention, Ridha has developed a peerless sound that transcends all categories. Embraced by the underground and adored on the main stage, the nonconformist German-Iraqi artist, DJ, producer and subcultural oracle has forged a distinctive path through the world of electronic music, all on his own terms. Without the euphoria and catharsis of the stage, the BOYS NOIZE channeled excess energy into the studio. As a result, “RIDE OR DIE” follows a period of immense momentum – BOYS NOIZE earning a 2021 GRAMMY nomination for LADY GAGA ft ARIANA GRANDE “RAIN ON ME”, a 2020 GRAMMY nomination for “MIDNIGHT HOUR” with SKRILLEX and TY DOLLA $IGN, debuting his newest collaboration with A$AP ROCKY in CYBERPUNK 2077, landing a summer hit on DEFECTED RECORDS with “MVINLINE,” and releasing a world-first modular hardware-driven techno LP called STRICTLY BVNKER, crafted in realtime while streaming on Twitch.
Ridha’s multifaceted output ranges from productions for Frank Ocean, A$AP Rocky, and Mark Ronson to collaborations with Bon Iver, Chance The Rapper, Snoop Dogg, Rico Nasty, Tommy Cash, and Francis and the Lights, and also includes remixes for Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, Rammstein, N.E.R.D, and David Lynch, the soundtrack for Oliver Stone’s movie Snowden, and the first musical release from designer Virgil Abloh, accompanied by the OFF-WHITE x BOYS NOIZE’s MAYDAY clothing capsule collection.
Whether composing and performing live as OCTAVE MINDS with piano maestro Chilly Gonzales, crafting club hits with Skrillex as DOG BLOOD, or DJing under his house pseudonym ELAX, BOYS NOIZE is constantly developing new forms of expression, fueled by a creativity that knows no boundaries.
KELSEY LU is a classically trained cellist and polymuse from Charlotte, North Carolina, currently based in London. Lu’s artistic practice channels intersections between visual arts, performance, healing activism and music. From musicians such as Sampha, Florence + The Machine, Skrillex and Solange. To fine artists such as Kahlil Joseph and Wu Tsang.
