Nanna Øland Fabricius, aka Oh Land, has released her first new song for 2021, “Listen A Little Less”. The release includes a gorgeous video created during a recent Oh Land performance presented by Samsung Music Galaxy. The concert was filmed in Copenhagen on March 10, 2021.

“‘Listen a Little Less’ was written on one of those days where I could just feel the whole weight of the world on me,” says Nanna. “Everyone’s opinion just mattered a bit too much. Reading the news felt like a painful stab. Opening my inbox felt like stepping into an avalanche of information, and even sleep was an impossible task. So I wrote this song as a reminder to myself, that sometimes I need to listen a little less — to stay on my path, and hold my own. And to notice the things right in front of me, and not worry about the things that are miles down the road.”

Oh Land has a knack for pulling on our heart strings, whether it’s to make us laugh or cry, dance or sigh, reminisce on moments passed, or dream of things to come. She’s seemingly always there when we need her, popping up to give us a lift on low days, or reminding us to slow down and breath when the world is moving too fast. Her albums range from quirky, danceable electro-pop to lush, orchestral songs with deeply intimate reflections on love and loss — not to mention a dash of social commentary when the moment warrants it.

Oh Land’s most recent album, Family Tree (2019), produced by Thomas Bartlett, was her most intimate and personal work to date. She also released a companion EP, Replanting Family Tree, featuring 4 songs from Family Tree reimagined by American artist Arthur Moon, along with a B-Side from Family Tree.

With the creative output of a small army, Oh Land has not only released 5 albums and toured the world performing her own songs, but also composes music for ballets, art installations, TV shows and films, performing with high-end orchestras and lo-fi children’s toys. She has collaborated on two ballets with the Queen of Denmark, “Askepot” and “The Snow Queen”. She released three new singles in 2020, including “I Miss One Week Ago”, an elegy to life before COVID, recorded from home during the early days of pandemic quarantine.
