Rising star Ashe has today shared her beautiful new track, ‘When I’m Older’, taken from Ashe’s forthcoming debut album, ‘Ashlyn’, out May 7th on Mom + Pop Music. Alongside ‘When I’m Older, the new album also includes the powerful, introspective track ‘I’m Fine’, her acclaimed collaboration with FINNEAS ‘Till Forever Falls Apart’, her monster hit ‘Moral Of the Story’ with Niall Horan and her breakout track ‘Save Myself’.
‘When I’m Older’, co-written by Ashe, Leroy “Big Taste” Clampitt (Justin Bieber, Lennon Stella) and Sean Douglas (Selena Gomez, Sia), showcases Ashe’s natural storytelling abilities and delicate piano-balladry. The track opens with layered vocals, accompanied by stark, striking piano that sets the scene for the deeply emotional track.
She reflects on the possibility of getting over a lost love with the passing of time and wisdom that comes with age, but ultimately doesn’t convince herself it’s possible. She sings, “Maybe when I’m six feet underneath the concrete I’ll know what it’s like not to want you, yeah. Maybe when I’m older, maybe when I’m older, ’ll know what it’s like not to love you.”

Ashe’s forthcoming debut album ‘Ashlyn’ is the follow-up to ‘Moral of the Story’ Chapters 1 & 2 (a double EP executive produced by FINNEAS). Building elaborate symphonies around her most intimate revelations, Ashe adorns her new songs with elements of everything from orchestral pop to grandiose ’70s rock to sublimely timeless piano balladry. Ashe’s huge hit ‘Moral Of the Story’ is shines on the LP, including the reimagined version with Niall Horan (both versions combined have resulted in 758 million streams, as well as her massive track ‘Save Myself’, which garnered over a million streams a week last summer and the official music video saw #SaveMyselfMV trend on Twitter worldwide after its debut, including the U.S. at #5, and nine brand new tracks.
A graduate from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Ashe’s meteoric rise includes amassing nearly a million Instagram followers, over 9.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, one million TikTok followers and over 2.5 billion video views. Ashe recently contributed an original song, ‘The Same’, to the new film and soundtrack, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, her second placement in the wildly popular Netflix franchise.
