Terry Hall presents Home Sessions will boast a line-up will include An Evening with Terry Hall, Roni Size, Daddy G (Massive Attack) & Queen Bee, UNKLE and the Eccentronic Research Council featuring Maxine Peake. Tickets are set to go on sale on Friday 25 June at 10am – https://coventry2021.co.uk/coming-soon/terry-hall-presents-home-sessions/
The Pop Group vs Dennis Bovell’s world premiere of Y in Dub will be an electrifying reinterpretation of Y, one of the era-defining releases of the post-punk period. Originally released on 20 April 1979, Y represents a stunning culmination of The Pop Group’s crucial nonconformity. The album was produced by Bovell, his first non-reggae project, their decision to collaborate with him is emblematic of the risk and range found on the original album, where tracks are adeptly moulded with reverb, delays, tape loops and a range of other studio treatments. The results corral all of the captivating mixing desk ingenuity that Bovell had been previously applying to UK reggae and lovers rock, making for a record that ventures into altogether unchartered territory.
Y in Dub is set for release on Mute, to register your interest and receive updates on the release, please go to: https://mute.ffm.to/yindub
