Out now, -io is the sixth album and Matador Records debut by vocalist and composer Circuit des Yeux (Haley Fohr). It is her most ornate and elaborate work to date – a set of compositions that nest the singer’s otherworldly four-octave voice amid a 24-piece string, brass, and wind ensemble. Today, you can watch Fohr’s NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert, which was filmed earlier this month in the May Chapel at Chicago’s Rosehill Cemetery and Mausoleum. The set features performances of three songs from the album – ‘Vanishing’, ‘Dogma’, and ‘Stranger’. Watch HERE. As part of her European tour dates in 2022, on April 6th Circuit des Yeux will play a special performance at the Barbican Centre’s Milton Court Concert Hall accompanied by a quintet of soloists from the London Contemporary Orchestra. A full list of upcoming of European and North American tour dates can be found below. The live band consists of Fohr (vocals, guitar, sampler), Ashley Guerrero (drums), Andrew Scott Young (contrabass), and Whitney Johnson (viola), and will be joined by a string section on select dates.
