4x Grammy Award-winning artist and producer Robert Glasper has today announced details of his upcoming ‘a black radio production’ UK/EU tour for March/April 2022. The tour will kick off at Huxleys in Berlin, followed by a string of dates across Europe culminating in two landmark shows at London’s newly reopened KOKO. Speaking of his excitement to get back on the road, Glasper comments: “London is the 1st place in Europe to embrace me ! It’s like Home! Can’t wait to get back!”

Tickets for all dates are on sale HERE.

Last month saw Robert Glasper release his latest single ‘Shine’ featuring Inglewood, CA natives, D Smoke and Tiffany Gouché. ‘Shine’ was his first release following a strong 2021 Grammy showing, nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album and taking home Best R&B Song for ‘Better Than I Imagined’ featuring H.E.R.

With lyrics that express gratitude and evoke a rise-up spirit, ‘Shine’ arrived as yet another glimpse into Glasper’s highly anticipated third installment to the Black Radio album series. Black Radio 3, much like both of its predecessors, is a cultural moment that celebrates black love and resilience. About the collaboration, R

obert says – “I was so happy to collaborate with D Smoke on this song. He’s definitely one of the leading voices in today’s new generation of hip hop. He has his feet planted in the soil of real music and comes from a family of amazing musicians and artists. That being said, also shout out to Tiffany Gouché, his cousin who’s on the song as well. We want to see everybody shine.”

As a precursor to the upcoming album, from October 1 – November 7, Glasper is returning to the world famous Blue Note Jazz Club in NYC for his third fall residency and another unprecedented run, performing 66 shows across 33 nights. In 2018, Glasper became just the 4th musician to hold a month-long residency at Blue Note, joining a short list that includes jazz legends Dizzy Gillespie, Chick Corea and Chris Botti. The residency, highlighted in the New York Times, proclaims that Glasper is “probably the most prominent jazz musician of his generation” and is frequented by unannounced special guests such as Dave Chappelle, Kanye West, Chris Rock, Questlove, Jill Scott, Common, Talib Kweli and Yebba.Robert Glasper returns to the international stage in March 2022 – all dates for the ‘a black radio production’ tour listed below.

ABOUT ROBERT GLASPER

Robert Glasper is a premiere example of musical aptitude and a proven champion of Black music – boasting nine Grammy nominations and four wins for Best R&B Album, Best R&B Song, Best Traditional R&B Performance, and Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, and an Emmy Award for his song for Ava Duvernay’s critically hailed documentary “13th” with Common and Karriem Riggins. The 43-year old Houston native has a rich history contributing his artistry across both music and film, all the while carrying a consistent cultural message.

In 2012, Glasper delivered his album Black Radio that hit the scene as the first album in history to debut in the top 10 of 4 different genre charts simultaneously: Hip Hop R&B, Urban Contemporary, Jazz and Contemporary Jazz. The feat was then repeated by Black Radio 2. The ongoing Black Radio series has since become Glasper’s calling card, upholding a place at the heart of a trailblazing community: from long-time sonic brothers Mos Def and Bilal, to legends including Ledisi, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Jill Scott, and Erykah Badu.
