DAY SPLITS & CINEMA PROGRAMME ANNOUNCED, INCLUDING CURATION FROM JONNY GREENWOOD, ROOK FILMS AND END OF THE ROAD
We’re now less than two weeks away from the 15th edition of End Of The Road, described as “inarguably, the best-curated festival of the summer” (★★★★★ NME in 2019), and festival goers can now start planning their schedules as the day splits have been announced for the music at this year’s festival. Alongside the day splits, another meticulously curated cinematic experience awaits. End Of The Road Festival regulars Ben Wheatley and Andy Starke of Rook Films are back to curate the Friday and Saturday offerings, whilst Thursday night is curated by the festival and Sunday sees none other than Jonny Greenwood take the reins. There is also the premiere of Squid’s making-of documentary “Expanding in Space” on the Saturday.Performing a very special set, Folk-Rock supergroup Broadside Hacks – which features members of Sorry, Girl Ray, caroline and more – will take to the Piano Stage on Sunday afternoon. Sadly, Altin Gun, The Goon Sax and Tenesha the Wordsmith have had to cancel; but End Of The Road have added Soccer96, Pozi, Charlie Cunningham, Teleman, NiNE8 and Blood Wizard to the bill. The music offering is already looking like the best and most cutting edge of the summer so far, featuring artists like King Krule, Stereolab and Special Guest Damon Albarn, and earlier this week End Of The Road Festival released an incredibly strong lineup for their Comedy & Literature offering, including Simon Amstell, Josie Long and Shaparak Khorsandi.
